Communication Protocol Trainer is an advanced industrial training system designed to provide hands-on learning of industrial communication networks, PLC communication, and IIoT technologies.
This system enables students to understand and implement real-time industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus, EtherCAT, OPC UA, and MQTT, making it ideal for engineering colleges, automation labs, and industrial training centers.

- Industrial PLC Communication System – Two modular PLC units configured as PROFIBUS-DP / PROFINET network master and slave, each with 14 Digital Inputs, 10 Digital Outputs, 2 Analog Inputs, and 1 Analog Output, operating on 24 V DC supply with Ethernet programming and diagnostics capability.
- IIoT HMI / Edge Gateway – Industrial gateway supporting OPC UA (Client/Server), MQTT (Publish/Subscribe), Ethernet TCP/IP, and RS-232 communication, enabling real-time data acquisition, secure data exchange, cloud connectivity, tag mapping, and remote monitoring.
- Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) – 0.5 HP single-phase VFD supporting Modbus RTU communication via RS-485, enabling variable speed control, direction control, and analog/digital input-output interfacing.
- Servo Motor Drive System – 200 W servo motor with drive supporting EtherCAT communication and encoder feedback, designed for motion control and industrial automation training applications.

- Power Supply and Protection System – 230 V AC input power distribution system with 24 V DC control supply, equipped with MCBs, grounding system, and emergency stop switch for electrical safety.
- Modular Training Workstation – Floor-mounted industrial workstation (1500 × 750 × 1400 mm) with laminated tabletop, powder-coated CR steel frame, insulated panel board, aluminum mounting profiles, integrated power console with cooling, storage pedestal with drawers, and caster wheels with locking brakes.
